The top 3 tips for securing the absolute best build (series) Part 2

Today we’ll be continuing from where we left of in our last blog: getting the best out of your build.

Prepare for price-fluctuation

No matter what you’ve seen and heard regarding the cost of building a house, we want our clients to understand that their project is completely individual to them in every way…including the overall price of it. If you approach your architect with an unrealistic budget that cannot meet your expectations, you’re going to run into ‘road blocks’.

Your Wellington architect experts at Moore Architecture are excellent problem solvers, and we’re going to do our very best to bring you the best bang-for-buck build in accordance with your budget. All we ask is that you keep an open mind when approaching any architecture project.

A few things to factor in (financially):

  • The size and style of your home
  • The groundwork required (this one catches a lot of Wellingtonians!)
  • Your deadline
  • Materials
  • Tradesmen of choice
  • Last-minute changes

What you can do to help

If you’re stressing about getting your head around a realistic price for your project, then feel free to consult us before you rush off to get a loan approval! Pick our brains on other, similar projects that we’ve seen through; we’ve got plenty of experience-based information to share with you.

At the end of the day, stay cool, calm and flexible. We’ll keep things real with you and – in a best case scenario – would rather tell you that you’re budgeting too much rather than too little.

Have you got a question regarding building expectations and realities? Would you like to know exactly what you’re up against, rather than playing internet-information guessing games? Talk to the team at Moore Architecture today!
